Lucas Heinrich (hine – rick) is the newest member of Boost. He grew up in the suburbs of Overland Park, Kansas, where he explored his creative side early on through building (and destroying) elaborate Lego structures. In school Lucas discovered a passion for art and writing that would start him on the path to a job in visual communications. Along the way he played the trombone and baritone for eight years in jazz, symphonic and marching bands.
After graduation he headed to the small town of Siloam Springs, Arkansas to attend the even smaller school of John Brown University. There Lucas dove into the design and media world, emerging four years later with a degree Graphic Design. Diploma now in hand (and his taste for small town life satiated), he headed north to Chicago to take the next step in his career.
Following a seven months internship at a marketing agency, Lucas discovered Boost, where he was hired as a graphic designer. He loves the opportunity each project gives him to research new subjects and push his design ideas even further. Outside the office he still spends 90% of the time in “designer mode,” as he can't help but stop to study every TV ad, book cover, restaurant menu, or movie poster that crosses his path.
Lucas is currently enjoying the summer weather on a level he never could have prior to enduring his first Chicago winter.
